NISOA Hall of
Fame - Class of 2003
Allen has been a
formative force in intercollegiate soccer officiating in the
Pacific Northwest, forming the Oregon and Washington chapters of
NISOA. He has worked NCAA Division I matches for the Pac-10,
West Coast and Mountain Pacific conferences. A veteran of NCAA
and NAIA tournaments, he was NISOA liaison for the NCAA Finals
and officiated the World Collegiate Championships.
Off the field,
Allen has dedicated himself to NISOA through officials'
education and service to the organization. He has been a
National Assessor and Assistant Director, National Assessment
clinician, National Instruction clinician and a clinician at the
NISOA Referee Training Camp. He has helped high school referees
as a clinician for the National Federation of High Schools.
Allen also has
moved through a steady progression of positions within the NISOA
national structure. He served as Area Coordinator for Region
XI, then moved into national service, first as NISOA secretary,
then vice-president before being elected president, a post he
has held from 2001 through 2002.
