Miller Bugliari


NSCAA Hall of Fame - Class of 2006

Miller Bugliari, who has guided the boys soccer team at the Pingry School in New Jersey for more the 45 years, is the 41st member of the NSCAA Hall of fame.  A graduate of the Pingry School himself, he succeeded his former coach in 1960.  It was the beginning of an unparallel career, including four national coach of the year awards, 20 New Jersey state titles and 17 County Championships.  Entering the 2005 season, he had a career record of 645 wins, 85 losses and 50 ties, a stellar .859  winning percentage.  His teams have posted 13 undefeated season and he has been named New Jersey  State Coach of the Year seven times.  He was elected to the New Jersey High School Hall of Fame in 2000.

Bugliari also helped establish the New Jersey  Soccer Coaches association and has served the NSCAA in many ways from 1974 to present,  including a year as president in 1979.  He received the NISOA Merit Award in 1996 and the NSCAA Honor Award in 2000.  In 1997, he was the first recipient of the NSCAA High School Long term Service Award.  That same year, he also was inducted into the National High School Federation Hall of Fame.
