Angelo N. Bratsis


Eddie Pearson Award - 1993

Angelo was a professional Official in the United Soccer Association, American Soccer League, North American Soccer League, American Professional Soccer League and the National Professional Soccer League from 1965 until 1994. And from 1980 until 1992 he was a FIFA International Panel Referee, FIFA Appointed to 25 Official "A" international matches, Referee more than 130 other international matches, and was appointed to seven international tournaments in North America, South America, Asia and Europe. He is still serves as a college official and has been a collegiate official since 1985 and officiated the 1995 Women's National Finals, 1996 Women's National Finals. In 1993 Angelo received the Special Referee Merit Award. Angelo has served as an instructor for the National Assessor Course (USSF) in 1975, 1976, 1979 and 1988. He has also instructed the referee course for UEFA in 1992 and the 1974 Instructor Course for CONCACAF). As an administrator Angelo was the National Director of Referee Assessment and a member of the National Referee Committee from 1991 through 1994.
