Keith Walker


Eddie Pearson Award - 1991

Keith was an International caliber referee for 14 years. He began his refereeing career in 1946 in "England's county and amateur leagues" and by refereeing career in 1959 was selected for Football League matches. In 1970, he was appointed a FIFA referee and in just over two years handled more than 20 "A" internationals. During his tenure with FIFA, Keith refereed matches at all levels including for of the matches in Brazil Mini-World Cup in 1972 and three qualifying matches fro the 1974 World Cup. Keith Walker took the post of director of officials for the NASL at the outset of the 1979 season after the death of Eddie Pearson. The former secretary of Sheffield United was in charge of all game officials for the NASL. He later became Secretary General of the United States Soccer Federation.
