A six year president of the Bradford and District Football Association, he brought a wealth of administrative ability with him and in 1913 became secretary of the Connecticut State League. In 1914 he organized the Connecticut State Association and held the secretary ship for 25 years. In the same year he organized the Connecticut Junior League, the Bridgeport Public Schools League, the Eastern League and the Connecticut Referees Association. A year later he organized the Connecticut State Amateur League and in 1924 founded the Connecticut State Football Players Protective Association and became league secretary of each of these organizations. He also became the third vice president of the United States Football Association from 1920 until 1923 and for a considerable period was chairman and secretary of the National Soccer Football Writers Association. He was also a member of the USFA National Challenge Cup Commission.
