Jimmy Douglas


Jimmy first played in goal in 1907 for Central Juniors and began his first class career with another New Jersey club, Harrison, in the American Soccer League in 1922.

Played in goal for the United States in the 1924 Olympics in Paris and also for the National Team against Canada in Montreal in 1925. He moved around a lot during his ASL career and in addition to Harrison, he played for Newark, New York Giants, Philadelphia, Brooklyn Wanderers, Fall River Marksmen and was playing for the New York Nationals at the time of his selection for the 1930 World Cup team. In Montevideo he shut out Belgium and Paraguay, but was crippled early in the semi-final against Argentina.
