Hall loses family member Glenn "Mooch" Myernick, who passed away this week


  The National Soccer Hall of Fame staff was saddened by the news of Glenn Myernick's  death Monday, following a heart attack on Thursday, October 5th.   Mooch  was an important figure in American soccer from the moment he first walked on Elmore Field at Hartwick College, moving his team to the NCAA final four the two years he earned All-American honors, and becoming a Hermann Trophy winner his senior year in 1976. Mooch was captain of the US Men's National team and MVP as an NASL player.  He went on to become a coach at the college level assisting Jim Lennox back at his alma mater and then moving on to be an MLS head coach for the Colorado Rapids.  He also coached national teams and assisted Bruce Arena in the past two world cup efforts for the US National team.  To learn more and to send donations in his name: click on ussoccer.com or to send fan memories  mooch@ussoccer.org.
